Q. What is Konemetsä?

A. Konemetsä is a world of it’s own. To really understand what it’s all about though, you have to experience it by yourself. The venue itself consist of forest, fields, a nearby lake, a permanent sauna built there just for the occasion, a natural amphitheatre where the Main Stage is located and a sandpit where Dessert Stage is.

The music will not stop after it starts. We play 24/7 from the beginning to the very end of the festival. The 1st Konemetsä was held in 2004. This year’s festival (2009) will be running for four (4) days starting from Thursday 2nd July to Sunday 5th July. It’s for sure Finland’s most easy-going festival there is. It has evolved from a small forest party to a 10,000+ people event. It is held in the county of Marttila in South West of Finland and these days the population of Konemetsä exceeds the population of the county itself.

The crew consists of true outdoor party and club music enthusiasts. It’s an experimental community of party people, clubbers, travellers, techno nomads and hippies who express themselves through dance, outfit and performance.

Q. Where is it?

A. It’s located in south west of Finland in the county of Marttila. The name of the village is Ollilla. It’s about 150 km West of Helsinki and 60 km East of Turku. The festival site is along road number 10 (Turku – Hämeenlinna).

Q. Can I bring my pet with me?

A. Please don't. Animals are better at home than they are at a music festival.

Q. When does it happen in 2009?

A. From 2nd 12:00pm - 5th July 2009 20:00pm.

Q. When does the Main Stage start?

A. On Friday Midnight as always before.
